Before applying to adopt, we ask that you carefully read our "Are You Ready to Adopt?"section. This is a crucial first step to ensure adoption is the right fit for you and our cats.
All cats adopted through Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society are adopted as indoor-only pets. Our cats have been given a second chance at life, and keeping them safely indoors helps protect them from injury, disease, predators, traffic, and getting lost, while allowing them to live longer, healthier lives.
At Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society, we strongly encourage the adoption of two kittens together whenever possible, especially if you do not already have another young, playful cat at home. While one kitten may seem easier, kittens actually thrive when they have a companion. They teach each other appropriate play, provide comfort, burn off energy together, and are less likely to develop unwanted behaviors caused by boredom or loneliness. The Adoption Process
When you come to meet one of our adorable kitties, we want to make sure you have plenty of time to get to know each other properly.
Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society does not complete same-day adoptions. We encourage you to spend quality time interacting with the cats, then go home, sleep on your decision, and discuss the adoption with everyone in your household before making a lifelong commitment. Bringing a new family member home is an important decision, and we want both you and the cat to have the best possible chance for a successful match.
Once you've found a potential purr-fect companion, you may complete an adoption application for that specific cat. Our team will carefully review your application and work with you to determine whether that cat is the right fit or if another kitty may be better suited to your home and lifestyle.
Please note: Adoptions are not first-come, first-served. Our priority is always finding the best possible match for each cat.
Important Adoption Process Notes
Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society does not accept deposits.
We do not hold animals.
We do not ship animals.
We do not maintain waiting lists for unposted pets.
If you see a cat you're interested in, we encourage you to submit an application promptly.
Meeting the Cats
We highly recommend visiting the rescue and meeting the cats in person. Cat bios are written from the rescue's perspective and may not fully reflect how a cat's personality presents in a home environment.
Please allow plenty of time during your visit to get to know the cats. Spending quality time with them allows you to see their personalities, how they interact with you, and helps ensure a better match for your family. It also gives the cat time to become comfortable around you. It's impossible to find the right match in just five minutes.
It's very common for adopters to arrive interested in one particular cat and end up falling in love with a different one after spending time meeting everyone—and that's perfectly okay! Our goal is to find the best fit for both you and the cat.
Application Review & Approval
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by email or phone within three business days.
Our Matching Philosophy
At Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society, we prioritize thoughtful, successful, long-term placements. Every adoption decision is made with the cat's well-being and the adopter's lifestyle in mind.
Carrier Requirement
All cats must go home in a secure, hard-sided or appropriately designed pet carrier.
No exceptions.

Important Policies & Notes
Indoor-Only Homes
All cats adopted through Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society are adopted to indoor-only homes.
We do not adopt friendly companion cats to outdoor-only homes. Indoor living keeps cats healthier and safer while significantly reducing the risks associated with outdoor life.
If you are looking for a cat to live primarily outdoors, please visit our Working Whiskers Rodent Control Program, where suitable feral and semi-feral cats are available for working-cat placements.
Kittens will never be adopted to live outdoors.
Cats that have lived indoors, including those currently in foster care, will not be adopted to outdoor-only homes.
Supervised outdoor access, such as secure catios or harness walks, is encouraged for cats that enjoy outdoor enrichment.
Family Involvement
We strongly encourage all household members to attend the adoption meet.
If not all family members attend and the cat is later returned due to family compatibility issues, the adoption fee will not be refunded.
All returns must be made directly to Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society.
No Shipping
Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society does not ship animals under any circumstances.
Rescue's Right
Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society reserves the right to refuse any adoption at its discretion.
Welcome Back Policy
Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society is committed to accepting the return of any adopted cat at any time, regardless of how long they have been adopted. The cat's safety and well-being always come first.
General Returns (Change in Circumstances / Not a Good Fit)
Within 5 days of adoption: 50% refund
After 5 days: No refund and a surrender fee may apply.
Cat Adoption Fees
Kittens & Adult Cats: $225
Bonded Pair (Two Cats): $400
Senior Cats (10 years and older): $150
What's Included With Every Adoption
All cats adopted from Toe Beans Animal Rescue Society are:
Spayed or neutered
Microchipped
Fully vaccinated with core vaccines
Vaccinated for rabies (age appropriate)
Dewormed
All cats 6 months and older are SNAP tested for FIV and FeLV
Vaccinations
Kittens under four months of age will have received one to three sets of vaccinations, depending on their age and how long they remain in our care. Younger kittens adopted at approximately ten weeks of age may have received only one vaccine and will require additional boosters through your veterinarian.
Cats four months of age and older will be up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies.
You can welcome your new family member home with confidence, knowing they have received an excellent start to lifelong veterinary care.
